- How are you different from home health services?
Most home health providers offer therapy services to homebound patients who meet specific criteria. Sometimes, patients are discharged without fully reaching their recovery goals. This doesn’t mean that a patient will not need further therapy.
In these cases, patients can opt for outpatient therapy at a clinic. However, they may not seek or maintain the services they need for various reasons. This often leads to patient relapsing. We solve this problem by taking our outpatient therapy services straight to clients’ homes instead.
- Can we receive on-site therapy while getting home health services at the same time?
We don’t recommend doing this. Contact our office to find out if you are currently faced with being discharged from home health therapy.
- How do you process new clients? Is a prescription needed?
You can self-refer! Contact our office to refer yourself for a therapy evaluation. We will contact your doctor to get the necessary paperwork set up for an evaluation.
Also, Michigan’s direct access laws allow treatment without a prescription from a licensed physician, etc. under the following conditions: For 21 days or 10 treatments, whichever occurs first.
If you are not quite where you would like to be after the direct access period, we can contact your physician at that time to obtain a prescription.
- Which insurance plans do you accept?
We accept Medicare, BCBS of Michigan, most auto insurances, and most worker’s comp.
- Does insurance cover on-site therapeutic services?
Yes. Medicare Part B and other insurance plans can pay for therapy services performed at home. Many supplemental insurance providers follow Medicare’s reimbursement protocols.
- Do I have to pay for out-of-pocket expenses?
That depends on your insurance plan if it includes co-pay. Usually, these services are covered by the insurance plans we accept.
- Which areas do you serve?
We serve the community of Canton, Michigan. But you can always contact our office to see if we have a therapist who can reach you where you live.
- How effective is on-site therapy?
Many people assume that it isn’t. Most believe that you need bulky equipment and expensive exercise tools. But this is not true in every case.
Our physical therapists have the training and expertise to help you with your rehab goals using available resources. Minimal equipment is used. After all, we focus on making your recovery achievable with every passing day.
